About the CGA
The CGA is a not-for-profit organization that was established in 1958 to provide a Canadian source for gemmological education and to act as a medium for communication and co-operation among those involved in all aspects of gemmology. CGA’s PROFESSIONAL GEMMOLOGY PROGRAM
Path to Canada’s Most Prestigious Gemmological Designation
The CGA Professional Gemmology Program is your first step toward earning the distinguished Fellow of the Canadian Gemmological Association (FCGmA) designation. The program is structured into four levels. After successfully completing levels 1-2 (Gemmology Basics), students progress to levels 3-4 (Professional Gemmology), culminating in the option to challenge the CGA Fellowship exam.
